On April 17, more than 300 guests gathered in Scottsdale, AZ, for a group exhibition entitled “Wild Echoes,” part of Desert Design Week’s Spring 2026 presentation. Founded by Ruth Price, the weeklong initiative continues to gain momentum as a multidisciplinary platform for the American Southwest, bringing together voices across art, design, and architecture. Within this context, “Wild Echoes”offered a focused lens on the region’s evolving creative identity—one that’s increasingly shaped by dialogue between tradition and experimentation.
Curated byBlayne Pearce Planitand produced byBenjamin LathamandStephanie Ketty, the exhibitionconvened a wide-ranging group of artists, designers, collectors, and cultural figures for an evening that blurred disciplinary boundaries. Installed throughout the hotel’s interiors—with spatial support from designerKaitlyn Wolfeand photos byBFA—the presentation unfolded as a dialogue between contemporary art and architectural setting. Rather than existing as a traditional white-box exhibition, “Wild Echoes” activated the surrounding environment, allowing material, texture, and form to resonate against the clean lines and tonal palette of the newly opened property.
